Denise Atchley
Co-Founder & Festival Director

Denise continues as Festival Director following the death of her husband and partner Dana Atchley. It was the Atchley’s dream to create an engaging event Digital Storytellers could gather, create dialogue and be inspired by the work and creativity being produced throughout the Digital Storytelling Community. Denise has been the hands-on coordinating producer for all six previous Festivals and is committed to continuing the Festival experience honoring its roots as a memorable and enjoyable experience for all who attend.

Leslie Rule
Festival Curator

Ms. Rule runs the Digital Storytelling Initiative at KQED, the PBS affiliate
in San Francisco. Over the last 5 years, Ms. Rule developed a nationally
recognized teacher training program for the American Film Institute, taught
over 700 digital storytellers around the world, and sits on the Executive
Board of the Digital Storytelling Association. She has spoken at numerous
conferences, seminars, and festivals, including MacWorld, SXSW Interactive
Festival, and National Educational Computing Conference. Ms. Rule lives
high atop the hills of San Francisco with her beloved son Thom and her
beastly border collie, Bella.

Leslie C. Kemp
Web Designer

This is Leslie's 2nd year with The Digital Storytelling Festival and her first year as dsf web designer. Leslie is a web designer and digital video producer with Move Your Pixels, she is a public speaker for monster.com and currently teaches digital and media arts at The Sedona Center for Arts and Technology at Yavapai College.
